ZAHI HAWASS
Petition for the Return of the Rosetta Stone and the Dendera Zodiac to Egypt
Zahi Hawass has worked tirelessly since 2002 to repatriate artifacts that have been stolen from Egypt. His intention has never been to bring back legitimately-acquired Egyptian objects currently housed in museums around the world, but to return recently looted artifacts, and make sure that museums stop the unethical practice of purchasing stolen objects. In honor of the upcoming opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum at Giza, Dr. Hawass is circulating this petition.
ISIDA Project presents the research work of the American scholar Charles Henry Herzer Jr., who granted his study for the first publication on our website.
This work is by far the most comprehensive study of the subterranean structure known as the Osireion, its relation to the main temple complex of Seti I, and surrounding sacred landscape at Abydos. The Osireion contains an enormous wealth of information with its encyclopedic array of New Kingdom Underworld Books and provides a unique insight into the ancient Egyptian worldview.
The Administration of ISIDA Project sincerely congratulates all our participants, researchers, partners, friends, visitors of 150 countries from all over the World, everyone who was, who is and who will come to join the Path of studying and understanding the Ancient Heritage of the Mankind, who dare to help the shining ray of Knowledge to break through the heavy sands of Time carefully guarding the Great Foundation of our Civilization.
Over the 10 years of the ISIDA Project functioning, a large amount of historical and scientific material, stored in the leading libraries of the World, has been studied. Among the achievements of the Project, the following can be indicated:
JAMES WESTERMAN "Underwater Archeology in the Desert"
(Chicago Great Lakes Explorers Club)
American scientist and archaeologist James Westerman talks about his large-scale study of Osirion (Abydos, Egypt), which lasted 26 years and is about to resume again with the information support and participation of the ISIDA Project.
