Let's discuss one of the megalithic constructions of Ancient Egypt - "Serapeum".
26 granite and diorite sarcofagus of a great sizes in the limestone galleries under the Sakkara desert.
The quality of these sarcofagus is shown here:

7th_Guest, the quality of these sarcophaguses is too different of the quality of the galleries finishing. I think that sarcophaguses were made by some other civilization, then the galleries were bilt.

Guy, yes, you are definitely right! The quality of the galleries and cells much differs from what they are containing inside itself.

Moreover, one more question arise: what was the level of the civilization, that had found these boxes in the plain Desert? Or... They may be familiar with, what they vere looking for? ;)

Guy, so we have two versions, that have all right for existance :)) In his report, Dr. Zahi Hawass siad, that Serapeum and "Headless Pyramid" are connected by the "Ceremonial Causeway". Interesting fact.

Serapeum was connected to the Pyramid?

One more question is actual. Where are closest quarries of grano-diorite and diorite? How far are they from the Serapeum? Or they delivered it from Aswan?
