    Gebel-el-Silsila.
     

    Gebel-el-Silsila. This is the name of a rocky canyon, located between Kom Ombo and Edfu, through which the Nile carries its waters, and where the high rocks are passing along the very edge of the water surface, forming both banks of the Nile and covering the area about 20 square kilometers. Here the ancient Egyptian stone quarry is located, where the ancient builders mined a sandstone, which formed the foundation for the architectural masterpieces of Ancient Egyptian Civilization, which up to our days attract the attention and interest of the people of the planet Earth.

    Expedition to Egypt (March-April  2017)
    ABUSIR: Mastaba of Ptahshepses.
     

    In the area of Abusir Necropolis, in 90 meters to the southeast of the pyramid of Sahura and 60 meters to the north-east from the pyramid of Niuserra, there is a mortuary complex, belonging to the one of the most outstanding members of the Royal Courtyard, whose name was Ptahshepses - the vizier and the son-in-law of Pharaoh of the V Dynasty Niuserra Ini. This monument is considered to be the largest and architecturally unique non-royal tomb of the Old Kingdom.

    The Journal of Ancient Egyptian Architecture.
     

    The first scientific journal devoted to the study of Ancient Egyptian architecture and all related matters "The Journal of Ancient Egyptian Architecture" expresses its gratitude to Creative Director of ISIDA Project - Valery Senmuth​, who has won the mini photo contest and whose photo of the Ramesseum is reproduced on the front cover of the volume 2 of the journal.

    Volume 2 - 2017 of the journal,  include a special scientific article by surveyor-archaeologist Glen Dash. Glen has carried out radar survey at Giza and in the Valley of the Kings in the past using cutting edge technology.

    The Age of the Giants. The detailed description of the Great Egyptian Pyramids.
     

    The author of this book, a partner of ISIDA Project, a French researcher Franck Monier, in his work, represens the detailed architectural description of each of the Great Pyramids of Egypt, beginning from the complex of Djoser and up to the Pyramids of Giza. His research is based both on the latest results in the field of papyrology, egyptology and archeology, as well as on the studies of ancient scientists such as Herodotus and Diodorus. Also, the author uses the materials of ISIDA Project,  collected during a number of expeditions to Egypt. Photographic material  is provided by the creative director of ISIDA Project - Valery Senmuth.

    Egyptian Museum of Antiquities.
    Cairo, Egypt.
     

    The Egyptian Museum in Cairo contains the unique collection of Ancient Egyptian antiquities. The original collection was established in the late XIXth century by the one of the early pioneers of Egyptology - Auguste Mariette. Museum has 107 halls, filled with artifacts dating from the prehistoric times up to the Roman periods. The majority of collection is focused on the Pharaonic era. The museum houses approximately 160,000 objects covering 5,000 years of the Great Egyptian History.

    Gayer-Anderson Museum.
    Cairo, Egypt.
     

    The Anglo-Egyptian War was over. It was 25th year since the beginning of the occupation of Egypt by the forces of British Crown, when doctor Gayer-Anderson, after joining the Army Medical Corps was sent to Egypt. In 1924, he finally retired, and stayed in Egypt, where he has devoted his life to studying of  Egyptology and Oriental Arts. During this period of his life, Gayer-Anderson has created the most valuable collection of ancient artifacts of the Middle East and arranged them in the medieval Arabic house, which he bequeathed to the Egyptian Nation as the Museum.

The museum contains a large collection of artifacts, collected from all over the World, but in this report we will focus on only two historical topics - Ancient America and Ancient Egypt.

    GREAT BRITAIN: July 2014.
    Silbury Hill.
     
    The largest man-made mound in Europe, mysterious Silbury Hill compares in height and volume to the roughly contemporary Egyptian Pyramids. It is located near Avebury in the English county of Wiltshire. It is a part of the Neolithic complex, located around Avebury, which includes the Avebury Ring and West Kennet Long Barrow, which we had already described in our previous Chapters.  The original purpose and significance of this ancient monument, built around 4 750 years ago - still remains unknown...
