The Anglo-Egyptian War was over. It was 25th year since the beginning of the occupation of Egypt by the forces of British Crown, when doctor Gayer-Anderson, after joining the Army Medical Corps was sent to Egypt. In 1924, he finally retired, and stayed in Egypt, where he has devoted his life to studying of Egyptology and Oriental Arts. During this period of his life, Gayer-Anderson has created the most valuable collection of ancient artifacts of the Middle East and arranged them in the medieval Arabic house, which he bequeathed to the Egyptian Nation as the Museum.
